A firefighters duty is to help people anywhere.
When the bell goes off they are prepared
to run to the truck and throw on their gear.
They jump in the cab with great speed and no fear.
Sirens are on while they race down the street
they hurry to the fire they must defeat.
They arrive on scene ready to fight
the large fire in all its wonder and might.
The hose is charged and ready to go
they run back to the truck, ladder ready to throw.
They climb up on the roof and cut a small hole
to keep the fire under control.
The brave enter the building with hose in hand
and charge the fire with a great demand.
In the room they see something move
the fireman runs in and a small boy he removes.
He enters the house yet again
and puts the fire to an end.
After a hard day they head back to the fire house
not knowing the next time they might be roused.
